2010 Shape Challenge – Week 6 Results

Ladies of Diet and Exercise!! What upppppp?? I know what’s NOT up…. my weight. And I know what’s NOT down…. my weight. I know what’s just sitting at the same freakin number it was at last week…. MY MUTHA FREAKIN TOW TRUNKIN VEGETABLE EATIN WEIGHT! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Richard Simmons – where the hell are you?? I need a little sunshine here, Curly!! So.. big goose egg in Week 6. HOWEVER, friends are urging me to take my measurements because I’m seeing changes in my body and the way my clothes fit just not on the scale. We all know… muscle weighs more than fat..  but, I still let the scale get me down so I need to measure.  CHART TIME:

So…. I have 14 weeks to lose 14 lbs. I gotta keep truckin! I’m still swearing by The Bar Method. Although it’s caused my butt to start separating from the back of my thighs – they’ve had a long-term relationship – it’s been  dysfunctional from the beginning so I’m glad it’s ending. Seriously, I see new results every week … I’m addicted. 

I’m still BFF with SHAPE, though, don’t you worry.  I make their recipes all the time and my magazines are completely crinkled, but I just haven’t been doing they’re workouts because of Bar Method classes. I plan to shake it up as of  April 1 so I’ll get back to SHAPE’s featured workouts.

I’m off to the Land of Weight Loss. May your arms lose their jiggle and your butts walk-off that wiggle.

AND… AAAAAWAAAAYYYY.. WE… GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

    Well – I’m not sure. I came back from vacation and weight at 137.5… so I only gained a 1/2 pound on vacation which I thought was going to be a LOT worse. Not good, but not bad in my opinion.

    I haven’t gotten this weeks results really. I’ll be weighing in at WW on Saturday, so I’ll post those results when I get them. Fingers crossed I’ll be down from my last weigh in of 137.

    Also, I still need to send you the bar method DVD. I haven’t done it much b/c I never really sweat that much… Maybe I’m doing something wrong!? But, I’m glad it is working for you! I’m envious.

    This is super long. But, I too just realized that I AM taking engagment photos come April/May. Therefore, I need to get my butt into high gear! I need 12 – 17 more pounds off of that to be at my goal… that’s a lot! But, I did give up alcohol and pop for Lent, so hopefully that works!

    I am still truckin along with you. Went up a few pds this week but I havent changed my eating habits, so I think it was from lack of water…boo

    I will only run three times this week as my body is just telling me to chill! I need to get more cross training in…

    As long as you don’t gain, then you are doing just fine. Keep telling yourself that, goose eggs aren’t bad.
    (I didn’t gain or lose this week either).

    Hi! I want to find out more about The Bar Method! You’re doing fantastic on your weight loss program! You’ve got a balanced program of diet and exercise, so important! Oh, if you want rock solid abs, I swear by 8min Abs dvd! When you get past the spandex in the video…the workout is tough {your abs get strong fast!}, but the results are worth it! :)

    Wait a minute, do you mean to tell me that just having a subscription to Shape and flipping through it while I sit on the couch watching The Biggest Loser isn’t going to get me in swimsuit shape? Dammit! Good luck with your weight loss goal and congratulations on all of your success!!!
